TeachSmart® Early Childhood Activity Bundle

The TeachSmart® Learning System greatly assists early childhood educators by helping them "teach smarter not harder!™ " In essence, the system engages children in fun, motivating, and developmentally appropriate activities.

Over 1,100 exclusive, customized scaffolded activities

The activities are designed by experts in the field of early childhood education, are customized to support a variety of learning styles (including successful implementation in inclusion and ESL settings), and scaffolded into the levels of "emergent", "still developing", "developing", and extension. The teacher will also find a Lesson Plan ready to use for each of the activities. The Lesson Plan suggests group size, gives child learning standards supported by the lesson, and shows a bulleted step-by-step set of instructions for implementing the lesson—all for the teacher's convenience.

As with all Hatch® products, the TeachSmart® Learning System is easy to use for both teachers and children. Through the use of Hatch’s exclusive TeachSmart® Learning System Navigational Tool, the System organizes the large volume of activities into intuitive categories. Further, teachers can quickly access the Learning System activities with a simple touch, saving valuable time and frustration.

An Exciting Way of Saving and Presenting Children's Work

The TeachSmart® Learning System has the ability to easily save children's progress into a "Digital Portfolio" for review by the child, and conferences between parents and teachers. The capability to easily record videos of children's voices and screen movements to track their learning processes and progress brings instruction to an amazing new level for teachers.

The TeachSmart® Learning System brings the information packed Teacher Features directly to the teacher in a convenient, research-based, and easy to use format, attached to each activity. They include: Make it your Own, Beyond the Board, Standards, and Teacher Talk.

Make it your Own - helps the teacher to customize the activities that your children have grown to love! A teacher’s personalized activities will support instructional opportunities that enhance and strengthen early childhood developmental skills. The TeachSmart™ Learning System comes with a wide range of ideas for easy use as models.

Beyond the Board - gives the teacher dozens of ideas about how to integrate the TeachSmart® Activities into classroom activities so that your children have a full opportunity to experience and learn concepts.

Teacher Talk - "Teach Talk" provides short reviews of the most current research available in early childhood to support the teacher in implementing the TeachSmart® Learning System in their classroom.

Standards - Teachers will feel confident knowing the strategies and activities are research-based and meet or exceed national standards. Great care has been taken to align each activity to the most up to date scientific research, this alignment can be founds in the "Standards" section.

Assessments Supportively Monitor Progress

Having the right tools to conduct assessments of young children in key skill areas in non-threatening ways is at the heart of the TeachSmart® Learning System Assessment feature. Including assessments in the areas of letter/number recognition and formation, as well as language and self awareness, teachers will be able to determine the beginning levels of their children, and monitor progress throughout the school year. These assessments also serve as models for teachers to develop their own customized progress monitoring tools.

SMART Accredited - ReadyThe TeachSMART™ Learning System has been accredited at the Ready level. The Ready level is the basic accreditation level for an application or content product, indicating that SMART Technologies has approved the software title for use with SMART products.

The SMART Software Accreditation Program offers educators a wealth of multimedia content and software resources to enhance instruction in the classroom. SMART has accredited over 86 companies representing more than 300 titles in subject areas including math, science, technology, English, social studies, history, health, language arts, art and design, foreign languages and music.
